About Perfection Inspection Services

I’m Patrick Hedderman, owner and sole operator of Perfection Inspection Services.  I started this business in 2007. I have always been interested in residential real estate and architecture, old farm houses and barns. I found doing home inspections was an easy transition from my professional work experience and a great way to be involved in real estate and on occasion, experience old homes and unique architecture. My extensive work experience has also given me the knowledge needed to perform commercial property inspections. I enjoy doing home and commercial property inspections and enjoy seeing the how the design, construction methods and building materials have changed over the last 100 years.

Since 2007 I have performed more than 1,000 inspections. Each inspection, whether for a single family home, apartment complex, multi-unit apartment building, commercial building or hotel, receives a detailed, through report that highlights all major and minor concerns. The report, delivered the next day, includes pictures and recommended repairs.

I have a degree in Industrial Technology and in Mechanical Engineering. I worked in the consulting civil engineering field for 10 years and then for four years as a member of the engineering department in charge of infrastructure, building renovations and repair for a paper mill. For the last 19 years I have been a Sr. Project Manager for a General Contractor in charge of large, multi-million dollar commercial projects throughout the country from Indoor and outdoor waterparks to car dealerships to apartment complexes. I have extensive knowledge in all disciplines of general building construction, building structure and utilities. I regularly keep up on current building methods and materials through several media publications and websites.

I am a NACHI Certified Inspector in good standing and I abide by the NACHI Code of Ethics and I follow the NACHI Standards of Practice. I am a licensed Home Inspector in New York State and I have a DEC Pesticide Technician License to perform pest inspections. I am fully insured, and I complete my required New York State continuing education as required by the New York State Education Department.
